A new Cycling Action Plan for Scotland

A Cycling Action Plan for Scotland (CAPS) has been developed in consultation with the Scottish Public and key stakeholders, with the goal of getting more people to cycle more often.

The Cycling Action Plan for Scotland was published on 25 June 2010, following a comprehensive public and stakeholder consultation which gave the Scottish people and a wide range of cycling, walking, education, local government and transport organisations the chance to help define the proposed measures to get more Scots on their bikes.

The Cycling Action Plan will see new funding for children's cycle training

The plan was launched alongside new funding for various new measures to promote cycling to work, cycling training in schools and new cycling infrastructure. For more details on the launch click here. To download the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland click here  - Cycling Action Plan for Scotland
