The world's finest mountain bikers were in Fort William last weekend for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, with thousands of people present across 3 days to support the 500 professional riders taking part…

… Cycling Scotland attended the Mountain Bike World Cup in the wild landscape and the sunny weather of Fort William, to promote cycling as a fun and a healthy mode of transport. We were delighted that around 1,000 people participated in our prize draw to win a set of bikes for the all family and were interested in the information on our stand. This is part of Cycling Scotland’s objective to integrate cycling into modern living as a sustainable mode of transport, a means of exercise, and a strong contributor to the Scottish tourist economy.
The 3 days of competition were exciting and Fort William World Cup spectators seemed delighted to follow the spectacular action with a brilliant final during the women downhill competition and the victory of Moseley Tracy on the French rider Jonnier Sabrina at the end of the race.
