Sustrans Scotland become a Cycle Friendly Employer
31/10/2008
Sustrans joined the growing ranks of employers making sure staff have all the facilities they need to cycle to work, as they received a Cycle Friendly Employer Award on Friday 31 October.

The sustainable transport organisation's headquarters in Edinburgh recieved the award for providing facilities such as showers, lockers and bike parking plus incentives and encouragement to staff to cycle.
Cycling Scotland chair Bill Wright presented the award to Sustrans Director John Lauder. Bill Wright commented: "It's brilliant to see Sustrans receive this award. They do a fantastic job of encouraging more people to cycle, so it's great to see that it is no different when it comes to their own staff."

It has been a busy week for the award scheme, as another Edinburgh based employer is set to recieve the award next week. The City of Edinburgh Council's Waverley Court building will receive their award next Thursday.
