Win up to £4000 of cycling resources for your school!

To promote our Cycle Friendly School Award, Cycling Scotland are giving Scottish Primary Schools the chance to win up to £4000 for a covered cycle shelter or alternative cycling resources.

To enter the free prize draw all you have to do is click here to register your school online with Cycle Friendly Schools and complete a self assessment

Cycling Scotland’s Cycle Friendly School is a nationally recognized award for all Primary Schools in Scotland who are committed to increasing the number of children cycling to school.  The aim is to encourage cycling as part of the whole school culture to benefit both children's health and their environment and can contribute to health promoting school and Eco-School initiatives. 

Each stage of the award process is fully supported by Cycling Scotland and the award is accompanied by a number of resources, including lesson plans, and links to cycle training.

All Schools who submit a self-assessment by the 5th March 2010 will be entered into the draw.  Primary Schools who have already submitted a self-assessment will be automatically entered for the draw.

Terms and Conditions

1.          Entries must come from designated staff representing Scottish Primary Schools.

2.          Only one entry per school is allowed.

3.          Entry to the competition is free.

4.          To enter, please register for Cycle Friendly Schools and complete a self-assessment at www.cyclingscotland.org 

5.          Self-assessments must be submitted by 5th March 2010. An independent person will make the draw and an independent observer will be in attendance. The draw will take place before the 12th March, and winners will be notified by post by 31st March 2010.

6.          Winners must agree to take part in any relevant promotion undertaken by Cycling Scotland

7.          The 1st prize is funding of up to £4000 to purchase a cycle storage solution for your school deemed suitable by Cycling Scotland.  Where a school already has suitable storage funds may be allocated for alternative resources to promote cycling among pupils upon agreement with Cycling Scotland. 

8.          The judge’s decision is final. No correspondence can be entered into.

9.          Entry into the draw implies your acceptance of these rules as final and legally binding.
